Hilltop Camper & RV has been delivering high-quality RVs and trusted service since 1951. What began with one dealership and a single camper has grown into four locations across Minnesota, serving generations of families with expert guidance and dependable support.

Hilltop is home to dozens of RV service bays and four RV parts stores, including the largest RV parts store in Minnesota, ensuring customers receive long-term care well beyond the sale.

In 2025, Hilltop Camper & RV received the Blue Ribbon Award from RV Business Magazine, recognizing it as one of the top five RV dealerships in North America for both customer service and community involvement.

As Hilltop celebrates its 75th anniversary in 2026, it proudly reflects on decades of family-owned service, hundreds of campers, and a legacy built on quality, integrity, and trust.

HILLTOP CONTINUES FAMILY TRADITION

1951 – Hilltop Camper & RV Founded in Minnesota

Hilltop Camper & RV is founded by Roy Pearo in Hilltop, Minnesota, serving the growing post-war demand for recreational travel and camper ownership.

Mid-1960s – Second Generation Expands the Family RV Business

Roy’s sons, Jerry and Dick Pearo, join Hilltop Camper & RV, helping establish the dealership as a trusted family-owned RV dealer in Minnesota known for quality products and customer service.

1970s–1990s – Building a Reputation for RV Sales, Service, and Parts

Hilltop Camper & RV grows its customer base across Minnesota, earning loyalty through expert RV sales, RV service, and RV parts support for families and long-term RV owners.

2000s – Third Generation Continues the Family-Owned RV Legacy

The third generation — Dave, Mike, James, and Jeffrey Pearo — becomes actively involved, reinforcing Hilltop’s commitment to evolving RV technology, customer needs, and industry standards.

2012 – Leadership Transition Within the Family-Owned RV Dealership

Following Jerry Pearo’s retirement, the third generation helps lead Hilltop Camper & RV alongside Dick Pearo, continuing decades of family stewardship.

2010s–2020s – Expansion to Four Minnesota RV Dealership Locations

Hilltop Camper & RV expands to four locations in Minnesota — Alexandria, Brainerd, Fridley, and Rochester — with additional family members working throughout the stores alongside long-tenured employees.

2025 – National Recognition for Customer and Community Service

Trusted by Jayco for service work from 49 states, we handle complex repairs in-house to get you back camping faster. We service nearly every type of RV—about the only thing we haven’t done is put a swimming pool on the roof… but I’ll bet Chris could do it.

Hilltop Camper & RV offers RV parts at all four Minnesota locations, including the largest RV parts store in the state at our Fridley location. If we don’t have it in stock, we’ll get it fast—often with shipping directly to your home or campsite.
